Bob Hope

Michael Hardesty
Michael began his acting career as a small child using his humor and natural acting ability to make new friends during the many moves that his family made due to his father’s career as a very talented pilot.
After attending six different colleges and universities in three different states Michael received his B.A. in Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
Michael’s passion for acting came out when he tried out for a local community theater play, and he has been hooked very since that opening night!
He has performed in over 30 stage productions, local commercials, modeling, and has many movie roles listed under his IMDB page.  He has been honored to perform with the Grand Valley History Players (Chautauqua) in the past, portraying Bob Hope, Harry Houdini and is currently preparing Raymond Berry, lawyer for the Radium Girls.

Harry Houdini (1874-1926) was a master showman of the early 20th century.  Beginning his performing career as an illusionist, he additionally became know as an excellent magician, stunt performer, movie actor, early aviator, and author.
But, it was his renown reputation as the greatest escape artist in the world for which he will always be remembered.  He baffled police department and military units from around the globe as they designed harder and harder methods to restrain the illusive Houdini, He easily made his escape each and every time.
His later years (until his death on October 31st, Halloween, 1926), were spent in an effort to debunk fraudulent spiritualists, fortune tellers, and séance conductors.
A man of many talents, he will always best be honored for his amazing escapes, despite impossible odds.
William Moyer of Grand Junction, one of the historically important movers and shakers in Western Colorado.
